In my current work, I have created a series of mechanical sculptures and sound-based installations with references to postcolonial theory, politics of knowledge, effects of global wars on societies, and also with a particular attention given to the history of the oil industry in Middle East and the recent boom of the Canadian oil industry. The first segment of this series titled “War & Deception” was exhibited at Thunder Bay Art Gallery in January 2014.
